Is there a simple way to export a template from Photoshop to InDesign and then adjust the spine width in InDesign?
I was able to export a template from Indesign to Photoshop by clicking “Send to Photoshop.” Next,  I built my cover in Photoshop. I couldn’t find a “Send to InDesign” button in Photoshop, so I saved the template as a PSD file. Next, I placed the saved PSD file back into Indesign on a new layer. So far so good. Here’s the problem: when I tried to adjust the spine size the PSD document split into two documents.

Hi there,
I will creating a feature request ticket for Photoshop script that places the PSD into the InDesign template, I am a bit busy at the moment but will post back here later.
You can turn off the splitting of the frame by un-ticking the “Break Frames Over Spine” tick-box when changing the Spine width.
I will make CoverBuilder remember this choice in the next version (3).
Be aware that changing the Spine-Width does not alter your PSD file. I generally send the Cover to Photoshop again after a spine change and then copy the elements from the outdated PSD (including preview layers as guides) from the outdated PSD.
Hope that helps,
Bruno

The “Send to InDesign” function that places the PSD into the InDesign template is added in version 3 as well!
